Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Often the child's first birthday date is engraved on the knife, but some choose to put the baby's day they were born. It is strictly personal preference. We don't recommend having a name engraved with plans to add a date later. It is difficult to center the lines when done at a later time. If you are giving the knife as a shower gift, let the recipient engrave at a later time.
You will need to allow 5-7 business days to process your order. Your order must be placed before 1:00 to count as a day.

In an effort to keep our Birthday Knife packaging fun and exciting we will sometimes carry fabrics that may have limited availability. You will find our newest offerings in the "Featured" section of the home page. We will attempt to keep an inventory level of those that have become favorites, although textile companies do come to the end of production at times.
When clicking the "ORDER" button, be very sure you have selected the correct payment amount for any extra engraving charges for the cake knives. If you select the incorrect amount, your order will appear to have processed, however, it will be delayed in shipping until the proper amount is processed.
We offer in-house engraving! Your name and date will be slightly off center on the blade. This is to protect the engraving over years of using the knife. Another plus to the off-center engraving is that the name and date show even when the knife is being used for cutting the cake.
